My name is Almas Samalbayev, and I am an Immigration Specialist based in Chicago with more than 10 years of legal experience. My career combines nearly a decade of corporate legal practice with hands-on work in U.S. immigration law, allowing me to approach immigration cases not only from a legal perspective but also from a strategic and analytical one.

Education and International Background

My legal foundation began with a Bachelor’s degree in International Law from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Later, I continued my studies in the United States and earned two master’s degrees at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago – an LL.M. in International Law and an MBA in Business Analytics (2025).

During my LL.M. studies, I completed specialized academic coursework in U.S. Immigration Law and Policy, gaining a strong theoretical foundation in the American immigration legal framework.

This combination of law and business analytics allows me to evaluate immigration matters with both legal precision and a strategic understanding of how immigration pathways align with professional and business goals.

Immigration Practice in the United States

At Lex Veritas LLC in Chicago, I work directly on complex immigration matters involving USCIS, the Department of Labor, and Immigration Court proceedings. My work includes drafting and preparing petitions such as I-129, I-140, I-485, asylum applications (Form I-589), responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), and legal memoranda for immigration proceedings. I also assist clients facing removal proceedings by preparing bond motions and legal arguments related to detention and release, as well as conducting detailed legal research on immigration statutes and precedents.
